And we need good stories!

In 2007, I created BedyCasa, the first home-stay platform before the American behemoth you know so well.

Bedycasa’s mission is to provide home-stay accommodation to people traveling for study, work or leisure;

For over ten years, my team and I developed this platform until 2017, when we reached 400,000 members, 60,000 accommodations in over 180 countries and a booking volume in excess of 4 million euros.

At that time, we had raised over 3 million euros, and I was proud to be one of the 1% of women entrepreneurs to have raised over a million euros.

But every great story has its challenges. In 2014, a divergence of values with one of our investors changed everything.

In 2018, after leaving the company, I saw BedyCasa liquidated the following year.

It was a difficult time, but I didn’t give up. In 2019, I launched a new venture, Leonaa, a platform dedicated to authentic experiences, this time within Wonderbox.

But in 2020, Covid strikes, and Leonaa stops too.

Another blow.

I negotiated to take over Leonaa’s rights. At that point, I decide to train in web development, so as not to depend on anyone else.

The year is 2021.

And then, the positive pressure from the Bedycasa community is such that I switch and re-develop Bedycasa.
